Frog Dissection

Grade 9 students joined the Grade 10 class for the first part of a frog dissection. Students worked in pairs and observed and labelled the external features of a grass frog. They dissected a leg and noted the flexor and extensor muscles. They then opened up, examined and labelled the head and mouth parts. We opened up the body cavity in preparation for tomorrow when we will examine the internal organs.
Grade  9 are reminded to study unit 6 on the periodic table in preparation for Wednesday's unit test.
